Recipe Rewriting
Some recipes are incredibly daunting. You take a look at it and think “How am I ever going to make that?”. It might be the sheer length of it, the multitude of ingredients, or even the title seems like something only Escoffier could execute.
Well, they can be rewritten into something you’ll feel confident making and I can do this for you. Here’s what they might have that puts you off and what I’ll do to simplify it for you.
When you read many recipes, they…
- appear too long or time consuming
- have ingredients that are obscure or unrecognizable
- contain many drawn out steps that aren’t easy to follow
- use equipment you don’t have or haven’t heard of
- contain expensive ingredients you’ll probably ruin because you aren’t experienced enough
- or just look too hard in every respect
Well what I’m going to do on his site is simplify recipes for you. I’ll show you…
- how to cut down on the ingredients, listing those that can be eliminated without ruining both the resulting appearance or flavour,
- show you how to cut corners that will guarantee a technique works every time
- what ingredients could be substituted for the obscure ones that might be listed
Each week I’ll add new recipes showing the full traditional recipe, and then my cut down version.
